Abstract

A partire dagli anni 1960 e 1970 vi è stata una crescente tendenza a aggiungere alle forme tradizionali di controllo in modo che possa essere condivisa a vari livelli e può essere limitato ad aree specifiche . Inoltre, queste modalità possono cambiare nel tempo . Queste " nuove forme di investimenti stranieri " sono stati più evidenti nei settori del petrolio e dei metalli , ma anche nel settore manifatturiero , in particolare per i mercati dei paesi ospitanti e nelle industrie con tecnologie mature . Vi è, tuttavia , una notevole variazione nell'esperienza di diversi paesi e settori . In realtà , questi " nuove forme di investimenti diretti " sono né nuovi né nel più stretto senso investimento . Ma sono diventati più frequenti , e hanno , in una certa misura , sostituite forme più tradizionali di investimento

Since the 1960’s and 1970’s there has been a growing tendency to add to traditional forms of control so that it can be shared to varying degrees and can be confined to specific areas. Moreover, these arrangements may change over time. These “new forms of foreign investment” have been most in evidence in the petroleum and metals industries, but also in manufacturing, particularly for host country markets and in industries with mature technologies. There is, however, considerable variation in the experience of different countries and sectors. In fact, these “new forms of direct investment” are neither new, nor in the strictest sense investment. But they have become more frequent, and they have, to some extent, replaced more traditional forms of investment.
