Abstract

L’articolo propone una analisi dell’evoluzione delle prime analisi empiriche sui consumi nell’era moderna negli Stati Uniti e in Italia, per determinare le dinamiche di emersione e trasformazione dello studio dei consumi come tema economico nei due paesi. In particolare, si va ad approfondire l’analisi dei consumi di due economiste che segnano un importante contributo nei due paesi: Hazel Kyrk negli Stati Uniti e Vera Cao Pinna in Italia.
