The paper is a contribution to a series of recollections and reflections on the professional experiences of distinguished economists which the Banca Na-zionale del Lavoro Quarterly Review started in 1979.
Jack Revell’s entry to the world of economics started when he was accepted at the London School of Economics in 1945. This was followed by training at the Department of Applied Economics in the University of Cambridge, the University College of North Wales in Bangor and the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development in France.
