Abstract

The paper examines the changing pattern of the international division of labour in manufactured goods between developed and developing countries. Recent and prospective changes in trade flows between the two groups of countries are considered, and the employment implications of these flows for the developed countries are analysed. The policy implications of the findings are then discussed.
