Abstract

The work follows two previous articles by the author on the subject of the integration of European markets. In the first, a critical examination of some of the proposed plans for European economic integration was provided and steps to be taken in this direction were suggested. In the second, a set of principals on which to base the effective organisation of European markets was indicated. In the present article, the author treats some of the more controversial aspects of the mechanism proposed - a mechanism which does not tend to create a European block but which, being based on the principal of free competition, is destined to facilitate and not obstruct the expansion of world trade.
