Abstract

The main objective of the work is to investigate the wide topic of archives
from a geographical perspective. The archive, as we have known
and studied, has represented for long the place of physical preservation
of the stories and memories of the communities and individuals, easily
measurable in its breadth and in its ability to collect, inventory and census
materials of different nature. The opportunity of access now easily to the
archives from different places carry out matters that can be interpreted according
to a geographical point of view, such as the credibility of sources,
the search for new spaces of interpretation of visual representations, the
use of archival material for the territorial research.

Le travail présenté ici a pour objectif principal d’étudier les archives à partir
d’un point de vue géographique. L’archive, comme nous avons connu et
étudié, a longtemps représenté la préservation physique des histoires et les
mémoire des communautés et des individus, facilement mesurés dans son ampleur
et dans sa capacité à collecter, des stocks et du matériel de recensement
des différents nature. La capacité de maintenant facilement accès aux archives
différentes et loin, pose des questions qui peuvent être interprétés d’un point
de vue géographique tels que la crédibilité des sources, la recherche de nouveaux
espaces pour l’interprétation des représentations visuelles, l’utilisation de
matériel d’archives pour la recherche territoriale contemporaine.
