About the Journal

Prerogative of the journal is to provide the opportunity to publish long, high-quality articles, and rapidly.

The journal is published yearly, both, online and on paper.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The Journal of Mediterranean Earth Sciences (JMES) takes the place, expanding and enlarging areas of interest, of a historical journal of the SAPIENZA Università di Roma: GEOLOGICA ROMANA.
