Per la Lira nuova. (For the new Lira)

Abstract

Il 3 giugno 1986 il Consiglio dei Ministri ha approvato il disegno di legge sulla istituzione della nuova Lira . Dopo aver discusso al gruppo l'unità monetaria italiana con un rapporto di mille a uno ( una nuova lira per sostituire un migliaio di quelle vecchie ). In due articoli nel corso degli ultimi venti anni  qui l'autore fornisce dati e commenti aggiornati sull'argomento. Si sostiene che la nuova lira , in sostituzione di un migliaio di lire in corso, dovrebbe essere introdotta con l' obiettivo di rendere il sistema monetario italiano più razionale . Il raggruppamento non avrebbe alcun effetto sull'inflazione , positivo o negativo . 

On June 3rd, 1986 the Council of Ministers approved the draft law on the establishment of the new Lira. After arguing to group the Italian monetary unit at a ratio of a thousand to one (a new lira to replace a thousand old ones) in two articles over the past twenty years, here the author provides updated data and comments on the subject. It is argued the new lira, to replace a thousand of the current lira, should be introduced with the goal of making the Italian monetary system more rational. The grouping would have no effect on inflation, either positive or negative. It would be achievable without serious difficulties in the course of six years for banknotes and twelve for coins.
