Questo articolo si propone di esaminare i risultati della politica inaugurata negli Stati Uniti al principio del 1961, all’avvento dell’amministrazione Kennedy, e nota come “ Operazione Twist”: ossia del tentativo di “forzare” la struttura dei saggi d’interesse rialzando i rendimenti dei titoli a breve termine e abbassando contemporaneamente o almeno mantenendo invariati quelli dei titoli a lungo termine.
