The 2021 has been characterized by a series of events devoted to the celebration and the discussion of the intellectual and cultural legacy, ten years after his passing, of the great Italian economist Pierangelo Garegnani, one of the most rigorous critics of neoclassical economic theory and proposer of a reconstruction of political economy along the lines of the surplus approach. This special issue of Moneta e Credito collects a series of articles written by authors of different generations and from different latitudes, which are the outcome of a workshop organized, in last year’s November, by the Italian Post-Keynesian Network.
