Da oltre 20 anni il sistema del commercio mondiale è stato effettivamente basato su uno standard dollaro . La circolazione del dollaro negli scambi esteri di tutto il mondo è quindi di fondamentale importanza per il benessere del sistema monetario internazionale .  L'autore è una delle principali autorità sul dollaro e ha scritto molto sulla gestione la sua circolazione .
