Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Analyses and researches

Featuring original studies and comprehensive analyses, this section delves into detailed examinations of various scientific topics. Researchers present their findings, methodologies, and implications, contributing to the advancement of their respective fields.

Translations and sources

This section offers translations of important scientific works and primary sources that are not readily accessible to a broad audience. It aims to bridge language barriers and provide insights from diverse scientific traditions and historical contexts.

Research trails / insight

This section is open to provisional accounts of ongoing research or even of research projects in their initial stages, outlining the research hypothesis serving a starting point, its main objectives, the methodology adopted, the expected results, the state of the art on the subject.

University Notes / Quaderni universitari

This section includes overviews (based either on fieldwork or on documentary evidence) of Islamic Universities or Departments, as well as of the Muslim student population of non-Islamic Universities and of Islamic associations therein.

Book reviews

In this section, scholars critically evaluate recent publications in the scientific community. Reviews provide an assessment of the books’ contributions, strengths, and weaknesses, helping readers stay informed about significant new literature in their fields.
