The article first presents an overview related to the denunciation of symbolic forms of violence within works by female Hispanic American writers residing in Italy and Spain. After circumscribing some theoretical terms and aspects, the text also offers an analysis of Gabriela Wiener’s novel Huaco retrato (2021), which is studied as a synthesis of a cultural and epistemic violence produced by European colonialism in Latin America and whose legacy extends to the present day, showing that it also has deep roots in the private dimension.Downloads
