In the first half of the 20th century, the philologist and literary critic Ramiro Ortiz decisively marked the field of Italian-Romanian relations, accomplishing the role of an exemplary cultural mediator. His commitment to reciprocal language teaching and the development of bilateral cultural diplomacy became an angular stone. This article is only intended to recall his personality, this time through the voices and the testimonies of his contemporaries: students, diplomats, journalists, writers, various intellectuals.Downloads
