The article presents the technical and scientific research behind the creation and development of the Osservatorio Neogreco Mario Vitti [Mario Vitti Modern Greek Observatory], an application freely accessible online at https://lsn.seai.uniroma1.it/ricerca?, which consists of a bibliographic data- base allowing users to perform cross-referenced searches. Originally designed to catalogue titles related to Modern Greek literature translated into Italian, it later expanded to include works from other literary traditions. At present, it enables searches for titles belonging to Greek-Cypriot, Serbian, and Bohemian literatures (translated into Italian), while future plans foresee its evolution into the Mario Vitti Intercultural Observatory, which will also include titles from Bulgarian, Croatian, Romanian, Czech, and French literatures. The application records various types of publications and features a methodological focus aimed at studying literature translated into Italian as part of the Italian cultural context.Downloads
