Abstract

During Mussolini’s regime, culture was seen as a means by which the “fascist revolution” could be transformed from a concept into reality. This study analyses the relationship between Benito Mussolini and Giuseppe Ungaretti, focusing on the 1923 edition of Porto Sepolto and the possible role of Duce as its publisher.
