Reflections on the Journal «900»: Its Reception in Italian and French Periodicals of the Time
Keywords:
«900», Massimo Bontempelli, «La Fiera Letteraria», receptionAbstract
The article examines the reception of «900. Cahiers d’Italie et d’Europe» within the broader landscape of contemporary periodicals. It particularly focuses on the journal’s relationship with «La Fiera Letteraria», the weekly founded and directed by Umberto Fracchia, to which the three principal promoters of the novecento project (Massimo Bontempelli, Nino Frank, and Curzio Malaparte) also contributed. The study further analyzes how «900» was announced or reviewed in several closely related french publications («Comoedia», «Les Nouvelles Littéraires»), and reflects on its absence from the pages of the «Nouvelle Revue Française».Downloads
