Abstract

This article intends to follow up on the activities promoted by the Department of History, Cultures, Religions in 2017, in order to celebrate the 150 th anniversary of the Geneva congress, with specific reference to the conference held in Brussels at the European Parliament on November 21 st in the same year. Therefore, it is proposed a commented selection of archive sources of the Central Museum of the Risorgimento in Rome, related to the Peace Geneva Congress of September 1867. To these sources we added documents number 10 and 12, coming from other archives, as indicated below. Among the various papers selected also appears the original copy in French of Garibaldi’s speech (Resumè) pronounced in Geneva, as well as the famous letter from Genestrelle, in which the General answered to the slanders of his detractors after leaving Geneva on 11 th September, while the Congress was still in progress
