Spanish-Italian Medical Relations during the Renaissance

Abstract
This paper offers a general review about the Spanish-Italian medical relations during the Renaissance. Spanish physicians travelled very often to Italy during this time, in order to get a better knowledge on the news advances in medicine. Many of them later occupied academic positions in spanish Universities and widespread the new ideas learned in Italy. The role played by printed books and manuscripts in their mutual relationships is here reported.
