Abstract
Until Renaissance, human foetus had never been drawn, except in an obstretical manuscript from Moschion. He wrote towars the VIth century A.D. a little work in Latin extracted from Soranos' Gynecia for the instruction of midwives. He reviews the different cases of foetal presentations during delivery, and gives advice on the best method to adopt for each case.
