Abstract
In this paper the story of gene concept is composed of two different parts: The first one refers to the discovery of the genetic material (DNA), the second concerns the concept changes from 1960 to the present. It should be stressed that we are still along way from being able to clearly define a gene from a modern point of view. It is necessary to assemble more information in order to arrive to an adeguate scientific paradigm.
