Abstract

The pedagogical path for actors proposed at the beginning of the twentieth century by Stanislavsky, is deepened by linking to concrete observable and manipulable psycho-physiological processes. In this operation, terms such as “human spirit”, “imagination”, “inner action”and “exterior action”, “experiencing a role” will be analyzed so as to become a constituent part of a psycho-bodily thought. We will look at the physiological context in which gestures, actions and feelings are born, whose generative mechanisms will be focused on; the meaning of the definition “coherence of sensations” will be resumed in a clearer context and we will try to provide a definition of “I” - that can be operationally useful for actors.
