Health and Illness of Children in the Foundling Hospital of Santo Spirito in Sassia in Rome during the XVIII Century

Abstract

The article deals with the history of the foundling Hospital of S. Spirito in Sassia in Rome during XVIII century. The Hospital sheltered homeless, illegitimate and orphan children, whose health conditions where were often dramatically poor.
