Abstract

The analysis is focused on the role of colours in Aristotle’s physiology as a real indicator of distinctions and differences on which general classifications can be obtained. His enquiry extends from both external and internal parts up to those parts – namely blood and semen – on which vital processes of animals’ life depend such as growing, nutrition and reproduction.
