Abstract

ANNE OF AUSTRIA AND THE NATURAL HISTORY OF BREAST CANCER DURING THE XVII CENTURY IN FRANCE Through the example of Anne of Austria’s disease (1601-1666), we will see how the physio-pathological and therapeutic concepts of breast cancer evolved in this pivotal period that was the second half of the 17th century in France. We will also be interested in the political meaning of cancerous disease, and the food therapy that meets the belief of cancer-animal.
