Abstract

Peter of Abano was greatly interested to the anatomy. Sure indications of his dissections are had; in the De venenis he reported the first autopsy, antecedent to 1316, of which sure news in Padua is had. The table of abdominal muscles, first published in the edition Venetiis 1496 of the Conciliator, is carefully considered. Key words: Peter of Abano - Anatomy - Padua
