Abstract

The paper deals with the tale of Biancaneve and seven dwarfs, by Grimm, used by Author as a background to discuss the metaphorical fnction performed by blood images into the psychological relationship between parents and children. This allows description ofa feminine character which, already present in Greek mythology, at the origins of the Western civilization, has been apparently lost in the forthcoming Western cultural history, nonethless strongly surviving in the construction of the consciousness and soul of women.
