Abstract

We use the metaphorical image of Esculapio's hands - the Greek god who was the first doctor in our western culture - to explain the necessity to construct a special exhibition technique for Medicine Museums. Histori-cal instruments of medical practice are very different from artistical museum pieces: in a modern Medicine Museum, ire think it is very important to stress upon their "manual use" to let the public understand them and enjoy the museum visit.
