Abstract

The Museum of History of Medicine in Ingolstad (founded in 1973) was born woth the aim to introduce the development of medicine and the history of disease (especially the history of epidemics) from the origins to the Modern Age. As the museum did not owe his own collection, this programme has been realised only further. So, permanent expositions have been prepared to allow the public approach the history of medicine. The Museum conservs also scientific documents overall related to the history of ophthalmology, otorinolaryngoiatry, chemistry and clinical practice.
