Abstract
In the Piedmont region the Academy of Medicine of Turin and the Scientific and Technological Archives of the University of Turin are carrying out specific programs in order to evaluate the consistence and the actual situation of the historical materials witness of the evolution of Medicine and Surgery. The hospitals are object of a research devoted to the discovery of their scientific and artistic patrimony: a first book was published with information about 55 seats. The work of the University Archives consists in collecting,cataloguing and studying antiques from scientific and medical institutions; the collections that we built up are exploited in publications and exhibitions.
