Abstract
The mission of Constantine-Cyril and Metodius did not take place in Moravia/Mähren, but in the city of Morava in Pannonia. Old Church Slavonic was an artificial language moulded word by word on Greek and for its theological character was for many Slavs hardly comprehensible, not much more than Greek itself.
