Keywords:
Social tourism, social policy, households, EuropeAbstract
This paper aims to show through a cross-country comparative analysis if, and to what extent, the inability to afford paying for one week annual holiday away from home in european countries, is associated with specific household socioeconomic characteristics. Such evidence would help central and local governments to define those economic and social goals which should be given more attention in social policies on tourism.
