This report compares the results of analyses of seismic amplification for microzonation in two cases: the first one refers to the use of natural accelerograms while the second one to the use of an artificial accelerogram as bedrock outcropping inputs respectively. Realistic soil schemes and different levels of peak ground acceleration (PGA) were considered. The results show only small differences between the values of amplification such as to be negligible compared to the inherent uncertainties related to the allset of parameters considered in the analyses.
