Abstract

A new species of Tibira Orlandin, Piovesan & Carneiro, 2024 (Lepidoptera: Apatelodidae), Tibira paraguassu sp. nov. is described from the Atlantic Forest of the Northeast Brazil (Bahia state). It is compared with Tibira eadgara (Schaus, 1934), a similar species; photographs of the adult males and genitalia of both species are provided, as well as photographs of the female and genitalia of Tibira paraguassu sp. nov.
