Entomochilus asperrimus n. sp. of Physogasterini from Southern Peruvian Andes (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

Abstract

A new species of Entomochilus Solier, 1844 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), Entomochilus asperrimus n. sp. is described from the southern Peruvian Andes. It is compared with morphological similar species recorded in northern Chile. Photographs of adults and habitat of the new species are provided, also a map of its known geographic distribution is presented.
