Abstract

This study aims to give priority to the geographical-strategic aspect of the relationships that build the spaces of governance and economic-political leadership of the Central Asian macro-regional context in which Uzbekistan plays a crucial role for its geo-economic projection among medium regional powers, global pressures and emerging actors. The author, working in the Asian country, with this contribution aims to analyze the most significant aspects of the transformations underway in Central Asia and Uzbekistan, which has distinguished itself as an emerging economy and tourist destination in a complex geographical-strategic mosaic in progress. Geographical analysis becomes fundamental to understand the regional complexity of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, especially in relation to key dimensions such as functional centrality, strategic connectivity and the multivectorality.
