Abstract

By a comparison between different points of view (above all, artistic and literary), this article aims to show how the conceptualization of time and human bodies have been distraught in the twentieth century, especially because of World War II. The artists and writers analysed are W.G. Sebald, Mathias Énard, Louis Le Brocquy, Claudio Parmiggiani and Roman Opałka.
