Qualche riflessione (e una rilettura) sulle galee fiorentine nella seconda metà del XV secolo

Abstract

Although well-known and deeply analised by scholars, the florentine maritime system during the XV century still offers new perspectives and different interpretations. From this point of view, an interesting case study is the florentine galley which, in the summer of 1469, sailed from Sicily to Porto Pisano carrying a quite particular load. Starting from the unpublished cargo note of that galley, the article aims at giving a new reconstruction both of the text and the context and trying to make some new hypothesis on that voyage.
