In this paper, a platform for the continuous monitoring of an unstable slope, based on ground based SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) interferometry, is described. The landslide interacts closely with an important road where modernisation works have to be realised. A radar platform was designed to monitor all the stages of construction (before, during and after). The platform, which can operate continuously under any weather and lighting conditions, consists of the following sensors: i) ground-based interferometric SAR; ii) weather station; and iii) automatic image acquisition camera. The system continuously monitors slope displacements, correlating them with the various stages of construction and with weather conditions. The system updates the data every 5-6 minutes, thus permitting a quasi-real time control from a remote location.
