Vol. 18 (2025): Special issue: Proceedings of the Conference “Filologia attributiva. Metodi computazionali a confronto” (Roma, Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, 21–22 novembre 2024)

Il convegno “Filologia attributiva. Metodi computazionali a confronto”, svoltosi a Roma presso l’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata il 21–22 novembre 2024, è stato organizzato nell’ambito del PRIN 2022 Texts of Uncertain Authorship in Thirteenth-century Italian Lyric Poetry: Methods, Attributive Practices and Tools of Philology. L’incontro ha riunito studiosi di filologia, linguistica computazionale e digital humanities per discutere strumenti e modelli di attribuzione testuale. L’attenzione si è concentrata sul confronto tra approcci tradizionali e tecniche quantitative, con particolare riguardo ai criteri di validazione, replicabilità e interpretabilità dei risultati. L’iniziativa ha promosso un dialogo metodologico volto a integrare rigore filologico e innovazione computazionale nell’analisi dell’identità autoriale.

The conference “Attributive Philology: Computational Methods in Comparison,” held in Rome at the University of Rome Tor Vergata on 21–22 November 2024, was organized as part of the PRIN 2022 project Texts of Uncertain Authorship in Thirteenth-century Italian Lyric Poetry: Methods, Attributive Practices and Tools of Philology. It brought together scholars in philology, computational linguistics, and digital humanities to examine models and tools for textual attribution. The discussions compared traditional philological methods with quantitative approaches ddressing issues of validation, reproducibility, and interpretability. The event aimed to integrate methodological rigor with computational innovation in the study of authorial identity.
