Italy’s Five-year National Economic Plan 1966-70 (published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale of August 14, 1967) set out some targets regarding employment partly expressed in quantitative form. Two years have now passed since the beginning of the five-year period. The present article provides a first evaluation of the actual performance during this span of time and of the implications for the remaining years.
