Abstract

The experiences with the European Monetary System during its first two years was the subject of the fourth and final seminar in a series organised by Robert Triffin under a grant from the Ford Foundation. While the first three seminars had been largely forward looking, the main purpose of the final seminar was to evaluate how the EMS had actually work. In his concluding remarks to the seminar, Robert Triffin offers some brief personal conclusions.
