Abstract

Based on the concept of markedness, which we will use from a semantic-pragmatic perspective, we will focus on analysing the currently impossible liaison of singular possessive pronouns, both synchronically and diachronically. This will lead us to rethink the status of hiatus in its relationship with liaison in [n]. After reviewing some historical elements concerning the perception of the values attributable to the linking context of mine, yours, and his, we will analyse the experimental results of recent research on the perception of these phenomena.
