Politica economica e intelligenza artificiale: note su opportunità e rischi

Abstract

I recenti sviluppi dell’intelligenza artificiale comportano implicazioni di varia natura per la politica economica, in particolare per la stabilità finanziaria, l’efficacia delle politiche macroeconomiche, la concorrenza e la distribuzione dei redditi. Ai notevoli guadagni di produttività possono accompagnarsi un’accentuazione della concentrazione del potere di mercato e un rafforzamento della tendenza allo spostamento del reddito dal lavoro al capitale. Ne possono discendere conseguenze rilevanti per la domanda aggregata, la disuguaglianza e la regolazione dei mercati. Si profila pertanto un potenziale conflitto tra l’urgenza di politiche redistributive, interventi antitrust e cooperazione internazionale e le difficoltà che oggi ne ostacolano il conseguimento e che vanno superate per promuovere e mantenere uno sviluppo economico e sociale effettivamente equo e sostenibile.
