Abstract

The aim of the text is to describe the ways in which artistic practices interact within urban regeneration processes, focusing in particular with the development of the “Creative Living Lab”, a grant promoted by the Ministry of Culture (MiC). Through the description of Radio Ponziana Errante, in which the author took part as an artist, the text describes the dynamics that led to the development of a community radio which, however, has not found its implementation due to the times frame and finances of the grant itself. Starting from this, the problems related to the different outcomes, social and artistic, put in place by this type of culturale-led urban interventions are investigated. Finally, it concludes with the proposal for greater interdisciplinary openness, above all from the point of view of the visual arts, in order to contribute to a union of intents. The conclusion also underlines the need for a recognition of the artistic practice in its complexity by not dividing it into two distinct phases between research and exhibition.
