Abstract

Casale Il Sughero, conceived in 2004 and started in 2010, is part of an experimental membrane-laboratory of new visions in the vast area project called Città del Parco and Città del Quarto Paesaggio in the Cilento National Park in the province of Salerno. The Casale is a place of production of primary goods – food and relational – and a place of reception and 'anti-tourist' transit for travelers understood as 'equivalent residents'. The objective is to overcome the city and countryside dichotomy, working on the expressed and unexpressed imagination of places and, therefore, on the multiplication of possible cognitive and experiential relationships that can contribute to rereading and rewriting the map of the National Park's sublime places, not in a post-tourist but an anti-tourist sense, in which the hypothesis of an inversion of imagination that wants to design new urbanities, making passages and meetings between temporary inhabitants and contemporary travelers at different speeds possible, gains ground.
