The figure of Diabolik (1962) was conceived by professional talents immersed in the zeitgeist of the 1960s and 1970s, and it is a syncretic amalgam of many characteristics of that historical period. Created in Italy, Diabolik has an international and, to a certain extent, transcultural dimension. For this reason, this article analyses some convergences and similarities between Diabolik and two other anti-heroes of Japanese comic books also born in the cultural ferment of the 1960s: Lupin III (1967) and Golgo 13 (1968)
