Abstract

Decolonizing planning through the use of filmic languages and collaborative practices – this is the framework within which the participatory action research project was carried out in partnership with the Ts’il Kaz Koh First Nation and the Cheslatta Carrier Nation in British Columbia. Through an immersive ethnographic practice, the co-production of a documentary, and the organization of dialogue circles, the project activated processes of recognition, memory, and collective transformation, addressing ongoing conflicts and historical wounds. The account of the entire research process offers a critical reflection on the role of planning as a transformative practice, capable of regenerating social bonds and shared futures.
