Abstract

The media history and the relationship between media and history find in relationship between cinema and history one of their most significant areas. But: where is the deepest nature of the relationship between cinema and history? Frezza's essay develops an articulate reasoning around the most significant elements of film communication, and how, from that perspective, the relationship between cinema and history is related to the mediological identity of cinema.

Gino Frezza, Università degli Studi di Salerno

Gino Frezza è professore ordinario presso l’Università di Salerno. Ha pubblicato vari volumi e saggi, dedicati in particolare all’indagine dei rapporti fra i media audiovisivi. Di recente ha pubblicato: Dissolvenze. Mutazioni del cinema (Latina, 2013), Figure dell’immaginario. Mutazioni del cinema fra analogico e digitale (Cava de’ Tirreni, 2015), ed è appena uscita l’edizione spagnola del suo La Maquina del Mito en el Cine y el Cómic (Alcalá de Henares, 2017). Ha curato il volume collettaneo Endoapocalisse. The Walking Dead, l’immaginario digitale, il post-umano (Cava de’ Tirreni, 2016). Di prossima uscita, per l’editore Meltemi, il suo sesto libro dedicato ai fumetti: Nuvole mutanti. Scritture visive e immaginario dei fumetti.
