Abstract
La letteratura sui media cosiddetti "alternativi" o "militanti" si è spesso soffermata sulla difficoltà di trovare una definizione esaustiva e definitiva del suo oggetto di studio (Downing, 2008; Atton, 2004; Couldry-Curran, 2003). Trait d'union delle molteplici prospettive interpretative ad essi applicate è l'istanza di alterità che è all'origine della loro istituzione e di ogni loro rivendicazione.
